Mr. C. Clementi has informed me that among the presents received by him from his personal friends on the occasion of his marriage to Miss Eyres on the 16th. April were the following from certain Chinese gentlemen:
1. A silver tray and tea-set from Mr. Ch'an King-wah, the present Head of the Police in the Kuangtung Province. Ir. Ch'an
King-wah and Mr. Clementi nave been friends for some 9 years past
and originally became acquainted in 1903 when Mr. Clementi was
seconded for famine relief work in Kuang-si Province where kr.
Ch'an was at that time Magistrate of the Kuei Hsien District.
2. A jade brooch from kr. Ho Fook.
3.
Two Chinese tea cups and a necklace of jade beads
from Mr. Chau Siu-ki.
4.
A table cloth and a piece of silk from Mr. Chiu Yü-
-t'in.
5.
A table cloth from Mr. Lau Chü-pak.
6.
A silver tea-set from Mr. Ng Hon-tsz.
7.
A silver flower-bowl from Mr. Ch'an Kai-meng.
A table cloth from Ir. Un Lai-ch'ün.
9.
A necklace of jade beads from Mr. Ho Kom-tong.
10.
A silver crumb-scoop, 12 spoons and one pair of
sugar tongs from lir. Fung Wa-ch'ün.
